level matching is incorrect

It doesn't completely null, so it's certainly doing something but the linked volume isn't the same level, so in bypass your original is quieter which tricks your ears.

When correctly level matched the effect is extremely subtle.
It seems like a sort of soft clipper with an EQ bump for the different models.

The image looks like Wallace and grommet claymation rather than an 80's slick reel to reel. The urine orange reel makes me want to vomit, just make them both white/silver please.

That being said, I do like it, the digital meters are cool, and I love the idea of it even if I don't know how close it is to the hardware sonically.

3348 Tape / Vac Attack

3348 Tape is a nice tool. Lots of versatility with the EQ bands. Love that. Overall good toll. Would love to see more options for the Presets. Love the look and feel of the it. Really nice interface. The sound is a fatter version of analog than I expected. Will use it in a mix or two and I can give you more details. Too early for a full scale analysis.

As for the Vac Attack compressor. It's a really good tool on your drum and 2 bus. I was really impressed with how it highlights the transients. Really impressive and takes the place of my API compressor. Really good tools you guys make at Mixland. Happy with both purchases.
